Nice to meet you! I’m Aatika.

human-centered designer + usability advocate + lifelong learner

In May 2025, I graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in Public Health.

Now I’m pursuing an M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan on the UX Research & Design track.

I’ve recently been working on course projects such as partnering with Salesforce to research AI in the field of education, along with Treat Team, a mental wellness journaling app created in collaboration with Bluebird Studios.

Outside of my professional experience, I love film photography, snowboarding, and cafe hopping around my favorite cities!

My background in public health really shaped how I think about access, equity, and the effects systems have on people’s lives. It taught me to pay attention to where things break down, who gets left out, and how those gaps create real barriers. That perspective continues to guide how I approach my work today, especially when designing experiences that need to be clear and accessible.

I’m drawn to work with meaningful impact, particularly in environments where systems play a large role in shaping people’s opportunities and decisions. I value clarity, accountability, and impact, and I bring those values into every project I take on.
